Dexterous Endoscopes is a Swiss MedTech startup and EPFL spin-off developing variable-stiffness endoscopes that can switch from soft to rigid on command, combining the reach of flexible devices with the stability of rigid tools. Its first product, the Variable Stiffness ENTscope, enables new minimally invasive procedures in hard-to-reach areas of the sinuses and larynx, improving precision, speed, and safety for complex ear, nose, and throat surgeries. By equipping surgeons with greater control and advanced tissue dissection capabilities, Dexterous Endoscopes aims to reduce unnecessary invasive surgeries and deliver better outcomes for patients worldwide.
We’re building a new generation of endoscopes connected to a standardized tablet platform, designed to make minimally invasive procedures safer, faster, and more precise. Our technology helps surgeons access challenging anatomy and perform treatments with greater stability and control.
As an EPFL spin-off, we are a fast-growing medical device startup developing breakthrough endoscopy solutions and preparing our first products for regulatory approval. This is a great opportunity for people who enjoy working in a high-potential startup environment, where you can have a direct impact on the product and grow with the company.
This Manufacturing Engineer role focuses on transitioning our current prototype devices into manufacturable, scalable medical products. You will work closely with the engineering team and contract manufacturing partners to bring R&D designs into production, ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements. You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with both internal engineering teams and external manufacturing partners, playing a central role in scaling our technology from prototype to production.
You will play a key role in the industrialization of Dexterous Endoscopes systems, working closely with manufacturers and suppliers to establish robust production processes.
This role is suited for engineers who are comfortable taking on challenging technical problems and real responsibility. Working in an early-stage medical technology startup requires initiative, resilience, and a willingness to build systems and processes from the ground up. If you’re motivated by the opportunity to help bring breakthrough endoscopy technology into production and contribute to building a company, this role offers that chance.
To be considered for this role, please apply through the LinkedIn application system. Applications submitted via direct messages to the management team will not be reviewed.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide at least two references from previous managers or supervisors.
Dexterous Endoscopes is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds and are committed to building an inclusive and diverse team.
